RELATIONSHIP CULTIVATION OVERVIEW

Many professions that appear at first glance to be science-focused are, in fact upon closer examination, rooted in both science and art.  An elementary school math teacher does not just need to know addition, subtraction and multiplication.  He must also understand childhood development, instructional techniques and classroom management.  A physician does not just need to know anatomy, disease presentation and treatment protocol.  She must also understand patient values, family preferences and discrete belief systems.  Often it is the professional’s ability to master the art aspect that turns a good teacher or a good physician into a great one.

We believe the same to be true in wealth management.  The science side of the equation, the financial planning and investment consulting components, are essential, but it is the art side of the equation, the relationship cultivation component, that is the core of wealth management.  It is the human element.  It is the piece of the equation that we believe leads to a deeper, long-lasting relationship and ultimately a more effective roadmap that is uniquely yours.

We divide the relationship cultivation component into two parts, broadly defined as: behavioral finance and compassionate communication.

BEHAVIORAL FINANCE
